Catriona Rubenis-Stevens is an award-winning director and producer, and was part of the team that went to the 93rd Academy Awards with the Oscar nominated short film Feeling Through.
She has directed several award-winning short films for The Easterseals’ Disability Film Challenge that have screened across America including at Slamdance, Hollyshorts Film Festival, Heartland and New Filmmakers LA. Her film e.ro.sion, noun screened at over 20 festivals worldwide, including The Sci-Fi London Film Festival, SoHo International Film Festival and the Fargo Fantastic Film Festival and went on to receive numerous wins including Best Director and Best Film. She was recently a producer for the BBC & History Channel’s Houdini’s Diaries, Daymond John’s Money Map Press and Cartier’s High Jewelry.
Other directing credits include promotional videos for ruby studios (a UK based photography company), music videos for I Put A Spell On You the annual fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, Giselle, On The Quays and LUX, the web series Speak American, the short films The One They Wanted, Roshambo, The Feather and The Path Of Avarice (Best Foreign film award and Best Director nominee BBC Alba Glasgow) multiple episodes of the educational video series Maestro’s Magical Music Box and a full season of the food and talk show The Scoop. Catriona was also recently commissioned by Speak.a Technology in Hangzhou China to write, direct and produce over 50 videos for an English language learning app specifically aimed at preschoolers in China to aid them in their study of English.
Catriona is also an established children's theater director in New York and New Jersey, directing shows such as Spring Awakening, The Wizard of Oz, Cats, Oklahoma!, Anything Goes, Hairspray, The Lion King, Oliver and Into The Woods.
She is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts conservatory program and was also invited to be a member of their prestigious Company Year. She holds a BA in Music and Film from New Jersey City University.
